Marketing Manager, MYLAPS

A sport fanatic and a sport marketer, Michel started at MYLAPS Sports Timing in 2011 and is currently marketing business development manager. He has global experience within the running industry including Asia, starting up the MYLAPS Asia office in 2013.

MYLAPS Sports Timing is the worldwide market leader in the industry, timing over 20 million athletes on an annual basis. With their digital services MYLAPS supports events to enhance the experience of athletes and fans during sport events. Their mobile App is used by the Boston Marathon, Standard Chartered KL Marathon, 2017 and 2018 SPIA Asia ‘Best Digital Sport Platform’ award winner, and 300+ other events globally in 2018. With real-time live tracking of all athletes and live in-app personal photos it is the number one platform used by athletes and fans on race day.

In his role, Michel develops and executes new sponsor propositions with live data to add value for events and sponsors. Propositions are focused to enhance the sport experience for athletes and fans.

Michel has a BS in Sports Management and Marketing from Amsterdam Economics College and a Masters’ Degree in Sports Management from the Griffith University, Gold Coast Australia.
