Mike has been an avid fan and participant of sports and endurance events for as long as he can remember. A high school and university athlete (football and track), Mike aspired to stay involved in sports when he transitioned from university to his career. He has worked and been a spectator at all kinds of sporting events, from multiple Olympic Games to 100’s of the top road races around the world. Mike has truly been blessed to have seen it all.
Over the last 15 years, Mike has aided in the success of programs across all endurance sports, with an emphasis in the running community. From managing relationships with the top national governing bodies and organizations around the world, to some of the most prestigious events in the world, he has actively worked with these organizations to help increase participation and sponsorship revenue based on data, manage their events as well as build communities. From 2012-2015, Mike presented over 75 roadshows around the world talking about the state of the endurance sport, presenting data and trends and predictions on technology offerings to come.
Mike has served seven years on the board of Running USA, where he was Vice President and co-chairs conference committee and sits on the Strategic Planning committee and Membership committees. He learned all that there was to know about event technology as an employee at two of the leading event registration providers, The ACTIVE Network and Eventbrite.
